Dear Brethren and Co-Workers with Christ,
Greetings from Charlotte, NC! A few days ago, as I was collecting ideas about what would be most helpful to write you in this letter, I realized that it was an anniversary of an extremely important event in America’s history—December 7, 1941, the “Day of Infamy.” For it was on that day that my life and the lives of millions of other Americans were suddenly changed. Our parents were talking in hushed tones. The news came on the radio that the Japanese had attacked our fleet at Pearl Harbor and nearly 3,000 Americans were killed. America was at war! As President Franklin Roosevelt concluded his speech before Congress, he triumphantly declared, “We shall gain the inevitable triumph, so help us God!” Many Americans who had not liked his liberal policies were suddenly excited by his decisiveness and leadership. For we were one nation back then—more so than we have ever been since.
Many events are now coming together which will change your lives more than you can probably even imagine. We in this Work are God’s servants to give you—ahead of time—news about these traumatic events now on the horizon. And we should tell you how to “take action”—before it is too late! God’s Word tells us, “Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets. A lion has roared! Who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken! Who can but prophesy?” (Amos 3:7-8).
Notice, Jesus Himself directly instructed His followers to watch prophecy. After describing an entire series of end-time prophetic events, Jesus said, “Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21:36).
Right now, we all need to be “watching” and praying about these events which are underway even as I write:
- America’s financial crisis and coming riots and civil unrest!
- The European financial crisis and where it will lead!
- China’s economic “pull back” which will allow the coming European Empire to be the most powerful economic system on earth!
- The rise of Islamist parties in the newly formed governments of the Middle East and Africa, and how this is leading to the coming Arab Confederation and the “King of the South” (Daniel 11:40).
- Israel’s possible attack on Iran (in conjunction with America?) and how it could take Iran out of any significant leadership in the Middle East for some time.
- Then the prophesied drought, famine, disease epidemics and earthquakes which Jesus predicted in Matthew 24 and elsewhere.
- Also, watch for a religious “revival” in Europe—probably in reaction to the growing power of Islam. This revival will lead to the coming of the Great False Prophet described in Revelation 17.
- Finally, “somewhere on this earth,” a very “little flock” (Luke 12:32) of truly faithful, humble and yet zealous people will do a powerful work to preach the true Gospel, to warn our peoples of the Great Tribulation just ahead, and to genuinely prepare a “people for God.”
Dear brethren and co-workers, many of these events I have described will come “suddenly.” Just as I woke up to a changed world on December 8, 1941, so you will soon find a “new world” around you—with everything being changed very swiftly. So you and I need to be “ready.” We need to be “right” with God Almighty.
After describing some of the prophetic events to come upon our peoples, God’s Word warns, “The Lord will send on you cursing, confusion, and rebuke in all that you set your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the wickedness of your doings in which you have forsaken Me” (Deuteronomy 28:20).
In an inspired prophecy which certainly refers to us—descendants of the “House of Israel”—at the end of this age, the Eternal God proclaims, “Because you despise this word, and trust in oppression and perversity, and rely on them, therefore this iniquity shall be to you like a breach ready to fall, a bulge in a high wall, whose breaking comes suddenly, in an instant” (Isaiah 30:12-13).
So, when Almighty God begins to move, He often moves suddenly in bringing about world events!
Again, in a prophecy dually referring to us at the end of the age, God warns, “O daughter of my people, dress in sackcloth and roll about in ashes! Make mourning as for an only son, most bitter lamentation; for the plunderer will suddenly come upon us” (Jeremiah 6:26).
Speaking directly about the time of Christ’s Second Coming, God inspired the Apostle Paul to write, “For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, ‘Peace and safety!’ then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape” (1 Thessalonians 5:2-3). Then Paul admonished, “Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober” (v. 6).
Even as I write, news comes that Britain will not “join” in the full fiscal treaty most Europeans are signing up for. For, as we have proclaimed for decades, Britain will not be in the final Beast Power described in Revelation 17! Many of us have proclaimed this for many, many years! How could we know this? Because God does make it plain who are His chosen people at the time of the end—and what is going to befall them! Dear brethren, through this Work of the living God, thousands of lives are being changed! And many millions are being “witnessed” to about the coming Kingdom of God—the Government of God—soon to be set up on this earth. We are doing this job with increasing power! More television stations are being added. The power of our Internet outreach is being greatly increased. More and more people are being brought into the Church and into full understanding of the very purpose for their lives! May God help all of us want to be involved in this final, end-time effort to warn those who will hear, and to “feed” those who are hungering for the full Truth of God.
As these end-time prophetic events crash down around you, and millions of people are absolutely in despair over these events, and over their increasing financial difficulties, many of you can know that you will be protected by the ultimate “Rock” of Israel—the living Jesus Christ—but only if you will give your life to Him and if you will become fully involved in helping in His Work, in preparing for His coming Kingdom soon to be set up on this earth. Very few understand the real purpose God has in mind, which is to fashion and mold each one of us into His image to become His full sons in the Kingdom or Family of God forever. That is why we must learn not only to believe in, but to obey our Maker. That is why we must truly surrender our lives so that Christ will live in us (Galatians 2:20). By the power of God’s Spirit, Christ promises to change our human nature—over time—into the very nature of God. Truly, through the Holy Spirit in us, we are “partakers” of His “divine nature” so that we can fulfill our ultimate destiny as full sons of the great God who rules the universe (2 Peter 1:2-4).
Dear brethren and co-workers, as the prophetic events in Europe—slowly but surely—bring about the coming “United States of Europe” or “European Empire” as many have characterized it, we need to understand that we are unique in understanding the real meaning behind these events! And we should also deeply appreciate the fact that we can be divinely protected from the coming Great Tribulation brought on by this power—through the knowledge God is giving us, and through our obedience to His Word (Revelation 12). May God inspire every one of us to “get on board” and go all out to do our part in preparing for His Kingdom. Let each of us be an active part of the Work which Jesus Christ is now doing through all of us as a “team” in preparing this world for His coming Government. Please pray for this Work! Pray fervently for one another. And please pray for me as a weak, 81-year-old human servant trying to fulfill my calling by “reaching out” to all the world in carrying on this Work through the help and the strength of the Spirit of God.
