Dear Brethren and Co-Workers with Christ,
A new pope has appeared on the world scene! As you no doubt know by now, Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio of Buenos Aires, Argentina has become Pope Francis. The media is emphasizing his humble roots and pastoral approach in serving his people. Personally, he appears to be a very low key and kindly man. So this may help win over the Catholic faithful and strengthen that church not only in Europe, but especially in his native Argentina—one of the fastest growing regions for Catholicism in the world.
This new pope is also a doctrinal conservative. He has long opposed abortion, “gay marriage” and the ordination of women. In fact, he frequently tangled with the government of Argentina over such social issues. As the New York Times reported (March 13, 2013) “In 2010, for example, [Cardinal Bergoglio] castigated a government-supported law to legalize marriage and adoption by same-sex couples as ‘a war against God.’”
A “war against God”? This statement is certainly true from a biblical point of view. But it should give pause to the millions who may soon find this man or his successor powerfully influencing the soon-coming “Beast” in Europe to “cleanse” the sinful American peoples. Could God use a German-led European Empire to clean up the “mess in America”—as they would put it? Almighty God used ancient Assyria as His instrument to punish Israel when they turned completely away from God as America is doing today. God spoke through the prophet Isaiah: “Woe to Assyria, the rod of My anger and the staff in whose hand is My indignation. I will send him against an ungodly nation, and against the people of My wrath I will give him charge, to seize the spoil, to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets” (Isaiah 10:5-6). As you read this entire passage from Isaiah, it is clear that God was predicting a punishment upon ancient Israel, who became the “people of my wrath” as they increasingly turned away from God.
Today, my friends, most of you realize that the majority of our national leaders and even the majority of the professing “Christian” ministers of the mainstream churches have virtually no fear or profound respect for the God of the Bible! They seem not to care about what His inspired Word says about abortion, same-sex marriage, young people just “living together” or anything else! Yet the God of the Bible tells us, “For I am the Lord, I do not change” (Malachi 3:6). As Almighty God severely punished our forefathers, so He will punish us unless our people truly repent and turn to Him!
Do any of you see this actually happening?
Probably not.
And that is the very reason for the existence of this very Work of Tomorrow’s World. We are God’s instruments to warn our peoples of God’s coming intervention in human affairs and show them who will escape God’s wrath in the years just ahead. God commands His true servants, “Cry aloud, spare not; lift up your voice like a trumpet; tell My people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. Yet they seek Me daily, and delight to know My ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and did not forsake the ordinance of their God. They ask of Me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching God” (Isaiah 58:1-2). The Creator God commands His true ministers to “cry aloud!” How many actually have the courage and commitment to do this?
Very few indeed.
So it was in Jesus’ day. For the Apostle John tells us: “Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God” (John 12:42-43).
My friends, this is the Work of Almighty God at the end of an age. We really do “tell it like it is.” And we really do understand biblical prophecy and are constantly proclaiming the truth about what lies just ahead for your very life. The God who gives us life and breath proclaims in His inspired Word: “If a trumpet is blown in a city, will not the people be afraid? If there is calamity in a city, will not the Lord have done it? Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets. A lion has roared! Who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken! Who can but prophesy?” (Amos 3:6-8).
So, if you dear brethren and co-workers are part of the “team”—if you really are genuine “co-workers with Christ”—then along with our faithful team here in Charlotte and around the world, you will feel especially at this time the urgent need to zealously do your part in helping us warn our peoples of what lies just ahead and how they ought to be preparing to serve with Christ in Tomorrow’s World! We are not a big church or huge organization, with tens of millions of dollars pouring in to help us get out this vital message. So your faithful tithes and offerings—even every little “widow’s mite”—are vital to keep this Work going and growing.
The great God commands all of us whom He is calling: “Deliver those who are drawn toward death, and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter. If you say, ‘Surely we did not know this,’ does not He who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, does He not know it? And will He not render to each man according to his deeds?” (Proverbs 24:11-12). If you and I see that our beloved peoples are being “drawn toward death” by the incessant barrage of liberal, anti-God propaganda pouring forth from our government, the media, our educators and even many of the churches—if you grasp the fact that our American and British-descended peoples really are “stumbling to the slaughter”—then, as true Christians and servants of God, you and I must take action. Even with you who have voluntarily elected to become “co-workers with Christ” in this crusade to get out His message, I very seldom desire to “get strong” unless circumstances warrant this. But, now, I tell you most sincerely, this Work of God really does need your extra-generous help and support right now.
We have recently had to drop one or two of our better television outlets for financial reasons. We are already “tightening” our belts in a number of ways. As one who has tried to give my life in Christ’s service for nearly 61 years—full-time—I ask you to join me and other servants in going “above and beyond” in supporting God’s Work at this critical time. Please do not let me down. Please do not let God down. We look forward prayerfully for your loyal response soon.
With Christian love,
Roderick C. Meredith
