Dear Brethren and Co-Workers with Christ,
Greetings from Charlotte, NC! Thousands of us just returned from our annual Feast of Tabernacles—following the example of Jesus Christ in keeping God’s Holy Days (John 7). It was a wonderful experience and we had many fine messages about Christian living, ongoing prophetic events, marriage, family, youth, etc. Many called it the genuinely “best Feast ever”—and, because of the unusual unity and exhilaration, it may well have been.
Many of you have heard about the “floods of biblical proportions” as they were called in USA Today (October 6, 2015), that hit much of South Carolina. Although the Feast site I attended was in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, it seems God directed the flooding primarily elsewhere in the state. So we only missed one activity—the Deacons and Elders banquet one evening. All other activities went on as scheduled, and the exhilaration of the brethren was outstanding. So God does intervene and protect His people! And remember—as I have often mentioned—it is not “Gore” who controls the weather, but our great God who reveals this over and over in His inspired Word! Yes, God is intervening powerfully in the weather not because of global warming, but because Jesus Christ predicted this over 2,000 years ago (Matthew 24:7). As in many other places in the Bible, Almighty God said because of the sins of His people: “I also withheld rain from you, when there were still three months to the harvest. I made it rain on one city, I withheld rain from another city. One part was rained upon, and where it did not rain the part withered. So two or three cities wandered to another city to drink water, but they were not satisfied; yet you have not returned to Me” (Amos 4:7-8).
No, the American and British-descended peoples certainly have not “returned” to God in recent years. Rather, we are going further and further away from Him and have involved ourselves in some of the most rotten behavior ever described in the Bible. Truly we are becoming like “Sodom and Gomorrah” as many of you deeply understand. May God help us to wake up!
Meanwhile, increasing millions of horribly distraught and starving individuals are making their way from the Middle East and Africa into Europe. The European nations truly do not know what to do with this massive wave of immigrants. Just recently, Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi complained that the EU has no plan for dealing with the crisis! Cracks are beginning to appear in the European Union’s unity and finances. Many situations are coming about that are pushing Europe to the brink of disaster. All of this upset will probably drive the Europeans to powerfully react against the Arab nations as some of the Islamists coming to Europe with these waves of immigrants begin to cause increasing trouble. Eventually, this will lead to what is described in Daniel 11 when the “King of the South”—an amalgamation of Arab nations—strongly upsets or “provokes” the Beast Power in Europe, leading to one of the greatest wars in human history! Truly, biblical prophecy is already beginning to roll through our society with increasing frequency. Russia is pushing us around in Syria and literally humiliating President Obama and his team by paying virtually no attention to what they are asked to do. In Asia, the Chinese are marching forward and continuing to militarize little specks of land that they are turning into military bastions. In spite of this, we are now “threatening” to go ahead and send some of our Seventh Fleet through these areas that China claims—possibly provoking a military confrontation with them in the next few months! But, as always, we will probably find a way to “back down,” lose face, and continue to be humiliated as God Almighty does indeed break the pride of the power of the American and British-descended peoples (Leviticus 26:19).
But God is continuing to give increasing growth to this Work in which all of you are involved. So I want to deeply thank you, brethren and co-workers, for your support, for your love and loyalty and your help in many ways in assisting us in proclaiming Christ’s full message to the entire world. Indeed, we need to “witness” to our peoples about the coming Government of God and the absolute need for a divine government to return to this earth in the Person of Jesus Christ (Matthew 24:14)! Now, I am beginning to outline the material for one of the largest mailings we have ever sent in this Work’s history. As most of you know, I send out a letter about twice a year—as Mr. Herbert Armstrong did—the “semi-annual letter.” In that letter, I try to tell our entire subscriber list about what is behind this Work, what we stand for—and to encourage them to become involved if God is calling them.
So I want to ask all of you, our “inner circle” of members and co-workers, to join me in praying fervently for God’s special blessing on this upcoming semi-annual letter! Please pray that God will help us reach out with this letter more than we have ever done before. This world really needs what we have to give. People need to realize that tremendous upsets are beginning to happen and how literally everything around them will soon change as God’s prophetic events begin to impact us all in the next few years! Please pray that God will open people’s minds and hearts and help them want to join us in building this Work so that we can have a far greater impact than we have ever had before! In the meantime, I hope all of you will be as generous as you are able with your own tithes and offerings to keep this Work growing and growing. We are growing. But millions more in this world of over seven billion human beings desperately need what we have to give and what so very few on this earth even begin to understand. So please stand with us at this time in a special way and do what you can do.
