Warm greetings from Charlotte, NC! Welcome, especially to all you new readers, to the Tomorrow’s World magazine and the genuine understanding of prophetic events and the very meaning of life which you can learn from our Tomorrow’s World television program and this very magazine.
My friends, I am excited as never before. For so many of the prophetic events we have talked about or written about for many decades either have already happened or are right now in the process of happening! The virtual “tsunami” of Middle East and North African nations overthrowing their secular rulers is coming along day by day even as I write. This—as we have explained—could clear the way for the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamic extremists to take over much of the Middle East. Such an event would “prepare the way” for the coming “Mahdi”—the Islamist religious/political leader who will no doubt become the biblically prophesied “King of the South” (Daniel 11:40). He will probably lead in the provocation of the “King of the North” described in that same inspired prophecy in Daniel 11. And this will set in motion the final chain of events leading up to “Armageddon,” and then Jesus Christ’s return as King of kings (Revelation 11:15)!
Meanwhile the Eternal God really is “breaking” the pride of our power (Leviticus 26:19). The American dollar is going down the tubes. Our military is already stretched too thin with many more “little wars” on the horizon. Many of our cities and towns in the southeastern United States have been devastated by a huge outbreak of tornadoes that was described by the National Weather Service as “the largest in U.S. recorded history” (BBC News, May 2, 2011). Also, we have had one of the most powerful earthquakes in modern history strike Japan with a terrible tsunami following—plus massive earthquakes which have recently hit not only Japan but various parts of China, the Philippines, New Zealand, Chile, Haiti and elsewhere! Now, we are also experiencing terrible drought and wildfires in vast parts of Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. And let us never forget the massive flooding which hit most of Queensland, Australia and which caused hundreds of millions of dollars in damage to the crops there—as flooding, drought and wildfires are also ruining crops in various parts of the United States. Many other “natural” catastrophes—plus increasing outbreaks of war—are occurring all over the world, too numerous to mention.
What’s going on?
What’s going on is that the Eternal God really is beginning to intervene! As He has specifically stated in prophecy after prophecy, He is now bringing down the modern descendants of the “Lost Ten Tribes” of Israel for our massive and mounting sins! For we now behold a spectacle of “men marrying men,” increasing millions of young people just “living together” without benefit of marriage, increased usage of illicit drugs, violence and every vile thing that can be imagined. The Almighty God is beginning to say, “Enough!”

Meanwhile, remember, my friends the speculation about “2012.” Millions have been deluded into believing that the “end of the world” will occur then. Or that the “Age of Aquarius” will begin then. Yet, the Bible does indicate that the rebellious wicked spirits who followed Satan do know certain things beyond what we humans sometimes know. And this is certainly indicating that next year, 2012, may be a very exciting year! Even apart from that, as a minister of Jesus Christ in His true Work for over 58 years, I clearly perceive that within the next three to six years truly awesome events will begin to take place! By this time six years from now I feel—based on my decades in God’s Work—that the “world” around you will be vastly changed from what it is today. I do not predict that the Great Tribulation will have begun by then, or that Christ will have come by then. But prophetic happenings will be bringing us “very close” to those events, and enormous changes will already be underway beyond anything you have ever experienced in your life!
The Word of God clearly indicates that during the “last days” a literal “Spirit War” will begin, with Satan making one final attempt to overthrow God in heaven and being cast back down to this earth!
Notice this inspired prophecy! After describing how the “woman”—the true Church—“fled into the wilderness” during the Dark Ages for 1,260 years, the prophet moves ahead to the end. John then writes, “And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him” (Revelation 12:7-9).
As in so many other places, God definitely, specifically, indicates that “the whole world” has been massively deceived by Satan the Devil. Finally, Satan is cast back down to earth and begins to attack the true Church with fury, “because he knows that he has a short time” (v. 12). Then, we read how Satan again attacks the “woman” who gave birth to the male Child, Jesus Christ. We read how the true Church is given “two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent” (vv. 13-14).
So a terrible persecution is going to be mounted against the “little flock” who constitute God’s true Church today. Yet, for those who are truly converted and willing to obey their Maker, God promises a “Place of Safety.” This place is not up in heaven—for the unbiblical “rapture” theory is totally untrue. Rather, the Place of Safety is in the “wilderness” somewhere on this earth. Those “watching and praying” (Luke 21:36) will be protected as many Scriptures indicate. But “the rest” who have not been truly close to God will have to confront an “enraged” Satan the Devil. He will persecute them mercilessly. They are the “rest” of God’s people “who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ” (Revelation 12:17).
Dear friends, how will you know when the coming “Spirit War” in heaven has taken place? As we have just seen, when Satan is totally defeated, “his angels were cast out with him” (Revelation 12:9). “His angels”? These are perverted demon spirits who will begin to attack mankind in a way they probably never have before. For as Satan himself is “enraged” (v. 17), so will his demons be!
At that point, we may begin to hear more “horror stories” than ever—men and women doing weird, cruel and perverted things; many experiencing unusual and inexplicable temptations to carry out evil and terribly perverted and outlandish acts. Also, the leaders in many nations—especially in the coming “Beast” power—will begin to demonstrate a strange, demonic influence beyond anything previously shown. The coming False Prophet will be allowed awesome power to perform Satanic miracles—even bringing “fire…down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men” (Revelation 13:13). Your Bible states that “in those days” millions will be deceived by false ministers, “For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect” (Mark 13:17, 22).
If you truly open your mind to what the Bible is clearly saying, it should be obvious that all of us need to “seek God” and His genuine Truth as never before! For we must not “play games” with God or with ourselves, nor just “kid” ourselves that we are truly serving God while we continue right on with our human reasonings and excuses to follow this world and to go our own way! We must soberly heed God’s inspired warning to us in the book of Proverbs, “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death” (Proverbs 14:12).
So each of us needs to be absolutely sure that we are fully obeying and zealously serving the God of the Bible. We need to absolutely prove to ourselves that the Bible is inspired by God. We need to understand that the prophecies in the Bible clearly show that the vast majority of human beings are deceived. Then we need to understand that we may have been deceived (as I certainly was before God called me) and that we need to become part of that “little flock” that truly keeps the Ten Commandments, walks with God and is protected by the Creator God in the perilous days ahead. So study carefully Revelation 12 and all that it implies. Meditate on Revelation 14:12, “Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.” And think carefully and act on Jesus’ warning at the end of His prophecy in Luke 21:36, “Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
Individually, you need to find out and prove to yourself where the living Christ is “working” in these last days. For “somewhere on this earth,” God does have a Work which is truly preparing the way for His coming Kingdom to be set up on this earth. The “Work” behind the Tomorrow’s World program and this magazine is a work of faith. As we have explained, we are a spiritual continuation of the Work begun by Jesus Christ, the original apostles and Herbert W. Armstrong in our day. This Work is producing much “fruit” right now for all to see.
Now I want to update you on some of the latest developments in this Work during these trying but exciting end-times. Most of you, except our newest subscribers, received my previous semiannual letter, in which I offered a free DVD titled “End Time Prophecy and You.” I am so encouraged by your response. More than 57,000 of you asked for the DVD, and we were excited to send the DVDs to everyone who requested it—totally free of charge and without the slightest obligation. Freely have we received, and freely we give. That is God’s way (Matthew 10:8)! I wish everyone would request the offers I give in my semiannual letters, including this letter! Our consummate mission is to spread the Gospel, the true meaning of God’s Word and God’s loving end-time warnings as far and wide as possible.
So far this year we have mailed nearly one million Tomorrow’s World magazine copies to 186 countries around the world. Since we launched the magazine 12 years ago, we have been able to mail the magazine into a total of 218 countries and dependencies.
Just since the beginning of this year, we have mailed over a quarter-million booklets, reprints, lessons, CDs and DVDs upon request to Tomorrow’s World subscribers around the globe. To date, over the past 12 years we have mailed more than 19 million magazine copies and other publications around the world. As I think you can plainly see, we are serious about what we are doing. And again, all this was done totally free of charge to our subscribers and all who requested our publications.
The Tomorrow’s World television program continues to grow and grow. Just this week, we added a new TV station in Los Angeles—KCAL, channel 9, which airs every Sunday morning at 7:00 a.m. Pacific Time. Over a half-million TV households regularly watch the Tomorrow’s World telecast every week on all of our TV stations. Since our telecast began 12 years ago, nearly 24 million TV households (containing about 60 million men, women and children!) have viewed the telecast in countries worldwide. We are happy about this, but we have a long ways to go to reach the entire world with its 6.9 billion inhabitants!

My friends, if you are beginning to realize that God is real and that He is truly beginning to intervene powerfully in human affairs according to His inspired Word, then—for your own good—be sure to act! For “sticking your head in the sand,” or evading the issue, will only bring sorrow and trouble beyond what you can even humanly imagine. However, I am not asking you to just believe what I say. As I tell you on television so many times, be sure to “check up” on me and on all of us in this Work and genuinely prove what we say out of your own Bible! For we in this Work really are the “servants of the living God.” You—and much of the world—will come to realize this in the years to come. For the things we are prophesying are beginning to happen and the rest of these things will absolutely happen and massively affect the way all of us live before the end of this age.
If you truly want to get your life in order, then follow God’s instruction given to people who had gone astray and who needed to truly “come back” to God and act on His Truth. For God told the ancient Israelites who had gone off into 70 years of captivity how they ought to come back to Him. God told them in His inspired Word, “Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:12-13).
So genuinely set your heart to “seek” the true God—the God of the Bible—the God who is now beginning to intervene powerfully in the world all around you. Try to get involved in His true Work. Through your earnest prayers and support, try to “hold up the hands” of all of us who preach His Truth and are trying to get out the final “warning message” before the end of this age. We all need to become fully involved and give our lives to our Creator as He calls us and gives the understanding and the opportunity to be in the first resurrection.
