Greetings from Charlotte,
This week’s video update mentions a couple of recent developments that you might find of interest: one is about an African prison where 70 inmates completed the Bible Study Course, and the other is about the brief mention of the Living Church of God and our Tomorrow’s World YouTube channel at the end of a Joe Rogan podcast. There is an in-person Canadian Ministerial Conference for ministers and wives coming up this week in London, Ontario, Canada. Both Dr. Douglas Winnail and I are scheduled to participate in the conference. I will be staying for a couple of days after the conference to record some Canadian-content telecasts. The September-October 2025 Tomorrow’s World magazine has been printed and will be mailed shortly. Mr. Stuart Wachowicz’s article “The Hidden Birthright Nations of Israel” is the cover article. There are also articles on the Feast of Tabernacles and true masculinity. I hope all of you take time to read the magazine and our other literature as it comes out. It is also good to review booklets that you have not read in years, as there are often jewels of knowledge and wisdom contained in them that one has forgotten or never noticed.

Tomorrow’s World Presentations
Last week, we held eleven presentations: six initial presentation, four follow-up presentations, and one online presentation. All told, these events drew a total of 153 in-person guests and 31 online guest connections. Particularly notable was the presentation in Tauranga, New Zealand, which drew a total of 33 guests. This is an excellent turnout, because we invited only 394 subscribers.
This week, we will hold eight presentations—six follow-up presentations and two online presentations to subscribers across many French-speaking countries. The French online presentations are a relatively new initiative, and we are working on expanding the reach to French subscribers across the globe. Your prayers for the success of the French online presentations, as well as all our TWP efforts, are greatly appreciated.

Are You Easily Entreated? The Apostle James describes a Christian who uses God’s Spirit as “peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated” (James 3:17, King James Version) or “peaceable, gentle, open to reason” (Modern English Version). Such individuals will not erupt with anger or indignation if someone questions their actions, opinions, or decisions. They will not be so convinced that their own ideas or actions are right that they are unwilling to listen to advice from others. Solomon wrote that “the way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who heeds counsel is wise” (Proverbs 12:15). Solomon made numerous references to the value of listening to counsel (e.g. Proverbs 19:20, 27; 22:17). A true Christian who is led by God’s Spirit will be approachable, teachable, and conciliatory (1 Timothy 3:2–7; Galatians 6:16). Let’s strive toward this goal!
Have a profitable Sabbath,

News and Prophecy
Will the Peace Hold? For several decades, Azerbaijan and Armenia have fought over a disputed region in the Caucasus Mountains. Although numerous attempts at peace have been made, none have succeeded (EuroNews, August 8, 2025). Now, through a deal brokered by the United States, both parties are excited about a future peace between their two nations.
Earlier this week, the leaders of these two nations met in Washington, D.C., and worked out a peace settlement that some are calling “unimaginable.” As Azerbaijan’s president Aliyev noted, “We are today establishing peace in the South Caucasus…. Today we [are] writing a great new history.” His Armenian counterpart added that the agreement between the nations was “opening a chapter of peace.” At the joint press conference with both leaders, President Trump boldly stated that “The countries of Armenia and Azerbaijan are committing to ending all fighting forever.” Of course, the peace agreement will also provide the U.S. with economic access to the region.
After just a few months back in the White House, President Trump has accomplished in the Caucasus what neither Russia nor Europe has been able to do over many decades. However, will this human-brokered peace, made between fallible and self-focused human beings, truly last? The Bible reveals that while human leaders love to talk of peace, they do not know the way to peace (Isaiah 59:8; Jeremiah 6:14). True and lasting peace will only come to this world with the return of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6–7), who will show the way (Psalm 119:165). You can learn more about the way to true and lasting peace by reading “Peace on Earth?”
Maintaining the Shoreline: Over the past century, the United States has replenished more than 818 miles of coastline with new sand—a monumental effort to counter the natural erosion of coastlines caused by waves, tides, and storms (American Shore and Beach Preservation Association, August 2019). This repair practice, known as “beach nourishment,” has placed nearly 1.5 billion cubic yards of sand along the U.S. coastline, according to the National Beach Nourishment Database. Cities like Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, have undergone dozens of nourishment projects since 1939. The efforts in Wrightsville Beach have cost nearly $100 million, with the latest effort alone priced at $17 million. However, it is expected that the oceans will wash away that replenished sand in just a few years.
Outside of the U.S., beaches in Barcelona, Spain, are losing approximately 30,000 cubic meters of sand each year—equivalent to twelve Olympic swimming pools—as the ocean erodes a shoreline originally expanded for the 1992 Olympics. Today, those beaches average at just one-third their 1992 width, and recent storms have erased entire sections overnight. Despite plans for €60 million worth of modular breakwaters, sand replenishment remains the primary tool for preserving the city’s coastline.
It is easy to see a spiritual parallel to physical beach erosion. Christians living in Satan’s world must continually grow and change through daily prayer, Bible study, and obedience, nourishing the Holy Spirit within them as Satan’s world works to wear them down and erode their faith. To assist in this process of Christian growth, Tomorrow’s World offers a free 24-lesson Bible Study Course that can help you on your way. —Scott Winnail, Francine Prater, and Richard Franz
