Greetings from Charlotte,
The summer camps in the United States are in full swing! The Missouri Preteen camp is wrapping up, and from reports, it has been a wonderful experience for our young people (see details below). Mr. and Mrs. Weston, Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan McNair, and other camp staff are on their way to Texas in preparation for the Teen Camp beginning next week. Other staff members and campers will be heading that way later. Mr. Rick Stafford reports that 25 guests came to the follow-up Tomorrow’s World Presentations held in Trinidad last weekend—after 40 attended the initial presentations. These are unusually high numbers of guests, especially for follow-ups, which is encouraging. Mr. Mike DeSimone reports that we’ve had a YouTube video surpass 3 million views for the first time. It is a Whiteboard about the mark of the beast, and you can find it on the Tomorrow’s World YouTube channel under the title “Whatever You Do, Don’t Accept It (Most Will).” Thank you for your prayers for the summer camps and for all of the activities in the Work around the world.

Tomorrow’s World Presentations
Last week, we held ten TWPs: six follow-up presentations, two initial presentations, and two online presentations. These presentations drew a total of 53 in-person guests. This week, we will hold one follow-up presentation, given by Mr. Jake Hall in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. Thank you all for your continued prayers and support for the Tomorrow’s World Presentations.
Living Youth Program
Missouri Preteen Camp 2026
This year’s Missouri Preteen Camp was held at Camp Clover Point in the Lake of the Ozarks State Park. The theme of the camp was “The Armor of God,” which was emphasized during Christian Living classes, Evening Reflections, a scavenger hunt, and other activities. Campers spent their time swimming, dancing, learning musical instruments, and playing sports, among other activities. We want to thank all the staff that volunteered their time and energy to serve the youth in God’s Church at this camp. May God bless all the camps this summer!

Why Prophecy Is Ignored: While many people are interested in the future, few today look to the Bible for information about what lies ahead. Many people believe what they have heard—that the Bible is nothing but a collection of myths and legends about people in ancient times, having little relevance to our world today. Yet, unlike all other books, the Bible is the inspired word of God (2 Timothy 3:16). The Bible reveals that God makes nations great and brings them down (Job 12:23–25) and that God guides the course of history (Daniel 4:17, 25, 32). The main reason Bible prophecy is ignored today is that theologians and scholars do not have the key to prophecy—which is understanding the identity of the modern Israelite nations (see Genesis 48:2, 14–19; 49:1–28). God has revealed that truth to His Church (2 Peter 1:16–21) so the Israelite nations and the world can be warned of what is going to happen in the future. Let’s be thankful for that precious key and never take it for granted.
Have a profitable Sabbath,

News and Prophecy
The Big One! Last week, there was a major earthquake just outside Caracas, Venezuela. The initial 7.2 quake was followed seconds later by an even greater 7.5 quake—an event known as a “seismic doublet.” As of the time of this writing, casualties are still being counted, but more than 2,000 are already known to have died, more than 10,000 have been injured, and tens of thousands are still unaccounted for (NPR, July 1, 2026). In addition to the grief and heartache such tragedies cause to the peoples affected, they also remind others of the danger they face in their own regions, in which the risks of earthquakes are ever-present.
The major tectonic system called the “Ring of Fire” surrounds much of the Pacific Ocean. It runs from Southeast Asia, north through the Philippines and Japan, across the Bering Sea, from Russia to Alaska, and down the west coast of Canada, the United States, Mexico, Central America, and South America. This region of the world is known for its powerful earthquakes.
The U.S. state of California sits on this Ring of Fire. California has two major, seismically active faults running through it—the San Andreas and San Jacinto—and smaller ones as well. And, off the west coast of the U.S., there is also the Cascadia subduction zone. Researchers have long been aware of the risk of this major fault shifting and releasing what is often called “The Big One”—what could be a 9.0 earthquake!
Scientists have monitored the San Andreas and San Jacinto fault systems for decades and recently observed that they are in a “critically loaded state” (The Guardian, June 16, 2026). According to one lead scientist, “Our results show that stress levels on multiple fault segments are now at or above the highest values seen in the past millennium and that the region may be capable of a large through-going rupture involving both fault systems.” Scientists cannot predict when a major quake in this system will occur—they only know that stress is building toward one and that “The Big One” will eventually happen.
Of course, earthquakes have occurred around the world for millennia, causing countless deaths and great suffering. Yet a time is coming when earthquakes will hit with such intensity that “every mountain and island” will be “moved out of its place” (Revelation 6:14), literally reshaping the globe. However, the true “Big One” will take place when Jesus Christ returns to destroy the armies gathered against Him—“such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth” (Revelation 16:18). While disasters occur for natural reasons in this world, they are also used by God for His divine purposes.
