Weekly Update

June 23rd, 2000

Greetings Everyone:

This will be a short update to say hello.

My wife and I returned last night from Toronto, Ontario, where we spent last Sabbath and part of this week with Mr. Bryce and family. We were able to spend a day and a half in the Canadian office reviewing the Canadian Work and discussing plans for the future. It was great to see the growth of the Canadian Work and the challenges ahead of us.

Mr. Meredith and all of us are very pleased with the ministry and the loyal members in Canada. They are doing a fine job!

Last Sunday Mr. Charles Bryce, accompanied by Mrs. Bryce and their son Scott drove with us from Toronto to Iron River, Michigan for Mr. Don Contardi's funeral. We joined the family in Iron River and drove to a nearby cemetery for graveside service for Don. A large number of family and friends from near and far came to honor the family and pay their respects. The weather was beautiful for the service, and the family invited everyone to fellowship at a nearby restaurant following the service. Please remember Carol Contardi and her family in your prayers.

Since I have not had time to collect information from other department heads since returning I do not have any significant news of the Work for you. Mr. Apartian is in Denver this Sabbath, and he will be reporting to you next week. Next week I will be going to Montana for a bit of vacation time. I Hope I can even"tussle a trout" while I am there!

Have a great Sabbath!
