Weekly Update

February 23rd, 2001

Greetings:

This week has been relatively uneventful. The Update this week consists of Mr. Tyler's report and Festival information.

AUSTRALIA

Mr. Bruce Tyler reported, "we had a record 135 responses to the Tomorrow'sWorld program last week in Australia! I haven't heard yet what the response was in New Zealand to the program titled 'How Satan Deceives Christians.'"

"In addition, we received 38 responses to the program, 'The Harlot of Revelation,' which was aired last night in Adelaide. It will be aired in four more cities, and we expect a very good response in those cities".

"Furthermore, we baptized two new people in Adelaide this week, none of which had a Worldwide Church of God background.

FEAST OF TABERNACLES INFORMATION

We are adding a new feast site for 2001 at ARKLOW, COUNTY WICKLOW, REPUBLIC OF IRELAND. The information for Ireland should be read carefully by those who plan to attend the Feast in Ireland this year, as time is of essence. Our deadline for making reservations at the Hotel we are using for meetings is April 9th. Beyond that date we have no guarantee of rooms at the ARKLOW HOTEL.

From Mr. Doug Winnail:

The Feast of Tabernacles will be held at the Arklow Bay Hotel in the quaint seaside town of Arklow, in County Wicklow, about 40 miles south of Dublin.

The pleasant hotel, spacious meeting room and health club are nestled next to a lagoon and look out over the Irish Sea. Meals and comfortable accommodations are available at the hotel. Registered bed and breakfast accommodations are also available near the hotel, and self-catering vacation rental homes and apartments are available in the town of Arklow.

The scenic Wicklow Mountains are a short drive inland from Arklow. Numerous tourist attractions are nearby. The closest airport with rental cars is Dublin. Trains run between Dublin, Arklow and Rosslare.

I hope that all are faithfully saving the festival tithe. There may be disappointment next fall for those who make little or no effort to prepare. Those who are committed to God understand the importance of the sustaining spiritual feasts He has commanded. Without them, one becomes spiritually weak, or spiritually dead. I frequently read about ones that have lost their understanding of His plan — because they have forsaken God's weekly Sabbath and His annual festivals.

I hope that you all have a great Sabbath and weekend.

Carl E. McNair
