Weekly Update

March 29th, 2001

Greetings,

Mr. Meredith and Mr. Ames recorded the last programs for this season yesterday. Mr. Meredith recorded program # 103 titled "When Will Christ Return?" to be aired October 7 and program #104 "Why Were You Born?" to be aired next October 14. Mr. Richard Ames recorded program #105 titled "Does God Answer Your Prayers?" to be aired October 21, and program #106 titled "Dangers of the Occult" to be aired October 28.

The next taping session will be in August. This will give each of them time to catch up on a backlog of writing and preparation for next season. Mr. Meredith will travel to Florida for Passover and the first day of Unleavened Bread. He will visit Nashville during the week, then end the Passover season (last day of Unleavened Bread) in Lafayette, LA. He will keep Pentecost in the New York City area. From New York, he will continue to London for the annual Director's meeting and a Bible Study. He will spend the Sabbath following Pentecost with brethren in Paris, France.

Mr. Apartian will leave next Thursday for Montreal, Quebec CA. He will spend the first half of Passover season there, then he will travel to Toronto, Ontario for the second half of the days of Unleavened Bread.

Mr. Ames is remaining in Southern California for Passover and a combined service in Corona for all of the southern California Churches. He will be in Atlanta, GA for the last day of Unleavened Bread.

My wife and I will be traveling to Portland, Oregon for Passover and the following weekly Sabbath. We will keep the first day of Unleavened Bread with Portland and Tacoma brethren, in a combined service at Centralia, Washington. We will spend the last day of Unleavened Bread in Great Falls and Helena Montana. Hope that you are all well and travel safely to your Passover service, wherever you go.

A few days, ago my wife made a profound statement (one of many she has made, I hasten to add). She said, "A problem situation in life is not the result of a single decision, rather it is the result of many decisions made over a period of life." That statement is so true wish I had said it!

When faced with a major problem, how far back do we look to find the source? If we are honest with ourselves, we must admit that many, if not all, of our difficulties stem from bad decisions we made repeatedly—from our youth.

Conversely, most of the good things that we enjoy in life stem from decisions we made from our youth onward. As the Psalm says, (Psalms 71) "Even from my youth, O God, by thee have I been taught." Those who have been taught by God from youth, and who make wise decisions following God's teaching, do not do drugs, do not abuse alcohol and do not indulge in illicit sex — all of which are the cause of manifold problems for a lifetime.
