Dear Brethren,
The world has been shocked and horrified by Tuesday's terrorist attacks against the United States. We do not yet know the full scope of the damage, or the number of lives lost, but we know that the United States has received a terrible and unprecedented wound.
God's people certainly empathize with the many who are suffering because of this tragedy. Yet those who have been watching prophecy unfold are not surprised by what has occurred. The Church of God has for decades understood that, as we approach the end of the age, the United States and British-descended nations would face increasing violence even on their own shores. We have given that warning many times on the telecast and in our publications.

Our hearts go out to all who are feeling fear and sorrow as a result of today's tragic events. But while today's events sadden us, they also remind us of the urgency with which we must continue to carry on the Work.
