Greetings from Charlotte,
The unique relationship between the United Kingdom and the United States was on display this week as the royal family rolled out the red carpet for President Trump. Not only was it a spectacular display of pomp and ceremony, but it was also unprecedented in scope. While commentators call these nations cousins, we understand that they are brothers. How thankful we ought to be that God has opened our minds to the truth of these nations’ identities—and how timely is Mr. Stuart Wachowicz’s article “The Hidden Birthright Nations of Israel” in the September-October 2025 Tomorrow’s World magazine.
As we approach the upcoming Feast days, let us remember that this is not currently God’s world. We must not allow ourselves to get caught up in racial, political, or individual hatreds. As John explained so clearly, hatred blinds the mind: “He who hates his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes” (1 John 2:11). Comments from the assassin of Charlie Kirk clearly prove John’s point. Yet even God says, “I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked” (Ezekiel 33:11). Sometimes I hear, “I don’t hate him—I just don’t like him.” Do we not understand Jeremiah 17:9—that “the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked”?
This is not God’s world. Let us think as Jesus thought and act as He acted. While we sigh and cry for the abominations committed here below, let us not allow the prince of the power of the air to embroil us in the course of this world. Have a profitable Sabbath and Feast of Trumpets.

Feast of Tabernacles
Services on the Day of Atonement and the Weekly Sabbath After the Feast
For the benefit of those who may be traveling to their Festival site early and/or staying late, you can now access information regarding where services will be conducted on the Day of Atonement (October 2), the Sabbath immediately before the Feast (October 4), and the Sabbath immediately following the Feast (October 18). This information includes which congregations will hold services, what timethose services will be held, and whom to contact for more details. Please be sure to contact the appropriate person regarding services to confirm details such as location and whether there will be enough space. You can access this information at MyLCG.
Perfumes and Colognes at the Feast
Please be aware while at the Feast that some people have serious sensitivities to perfumes, colognes, and other scents. For some of our brethren, even being in the same room as someone using perfume or cologne can send them to the Emergency Room. Please use extra care to show love to others with your restraint at the Feast.
What If You Are Expecting?
If you are pregnant and will be due around Feast time, please exercise caution and discretion when making your decision whether to travel to the Feast. The Church has long recommended that you stay home if your due date is around the Feast, for the sake of yourself and your unborn child. As in all matters of health, this is a personal decision that should be weighed carefully, prayerfully, and with the advice of your physician or midwife. For those staying home, you can stream Church services from your assigned site, watch the prerecorded Feast sermons posted daily at Members.LCG.org, or request prerecorded sermons from your pastor.
Appropriate Dress for Feast Services
While God looks on the heart, dress and outward decorum are also important (Matthew 22:8–14), and it’s good to review basic principles for attire at Feast services. For men in most Western countries, coats, collared shirts, ties, and nice slacks are considered appropriate on special occasions. This may vary somewhat in tropical climates. For ladies, 1 Timothy 2:9–10 explains that dress should be “modest apparel, with propriety and moderation.” Form-fitting clothing, high hemlines, necklines showing cleavage, bare shoulders, backless dresses, crop-tops, etc., are not appropriate for Church services. Our challenge as Christian men and women is to be separate from this world and be lights to it (2 Corinthians 6:17; Matthew 5:14–16). This is especially true as we gather to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles—picturing Christ’s glorious reign on earth!
What About the Pool or Beach?
Swimwear for men and women at the Feast of Tabernacles should be modest and in good taste. We are to be guided by the two great commandments—to love God and love our neighbor (Matthew 22:37–39)—so as not to offend God or our neighbor in our attire at the Feast. Accordingly, swimwear at the Feast for ladies should be modest and cover the midsection, and men should not wear Speedo-type suits unless pool facility rules specifically require them, as is the case in some European countries. Fathers and husbands have a responsibility to be leaders in their families, teaching and guiding them regarding what is appropriate and what is not (Ezekiel 22:26).

Satan’s Troubled World: Many today are perplexed by what is happening to our societies—senseless killings, politicians and political parties spewing hatred at their opponents, widespread corruption, growing citizen anger over government-promoted illegal immigration, thousands strung out on drugs and millions caught up in digital addiction with no sense of purpose—while armed conflicts rage in Europe and the Middle East and natural disasters pummel various parts of the globe. Few today realize that Satan is the unseen god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4) and that he is behind the anger, hatred, and chaos that permeate modern cultures (Galatians 5:19–21). The Bible reveals that as we approach the end of the age, perilous times will come as people become more self-centered, hateful, and brutal—the result of Satan’s influence around the world (2 Timothy 3:1–5; Revelation 12:12). Satan is not only the adversary of people God is calling (1 Peter 5:8–9), but he also wants to divide and destroy the nations that God has blessed so richly (Genesis 49:22–26). The solution to these global problems will not come from human efforts, but with the return of Jesus Christ as the Savior of the world (John 4:42), which is pictured by the Feast of Trumpets. Will you be ready for that world-changing event?
Have a profitable Sabbath,

News and Prophecy
NATO Engages with Russia: Tensions related to the war in Ukraine continue to rise in Europe. Last week, Russian military drones encroaching on Polish airspace were shot down by Polish and Dutch fighter jets (AP, September 10, 2025). Article 5 of the NATO agreement is “NATO’s collective security guarantee, with allies pledging that an attack on one member of the alliance constitutes an attack on all.” While both Poland and the Netherlands are members of NATO, in this instance the nations of the alliance agree for the moment that the intrusion is not seen as an attack on the alliance as a whole, and Article 5 has not been triggered.
Russia continues to “test the fences” with European nations, and NATO nations continue to build up defenses on their eastern fronts. Germany is revising its spending and debt rules so it can direct more funds into its military efforts (Washington Post, September 7, 2025). Germany’s Minister of Agriculture is also calling for a national stockpile of ready-to-eat meals and foods. And “the German government has pledged to make the country kriegstüchtig—fit for war—by 2029, the year officials believe Russia could be ready to strike a NATO member.” Finland, another NATO member, is preparing for the worst as its leaders anticipate a massing of Russian troops on their border once the war in Ukraine ends (The Guardian, May 21, 2025). Satellite photos show that Russia is already improving fortifications and bases along the Finnish border, even as the war in Ukraine continues.
As events continue to heat up, we are reminded of the need to watch Europe and the Middle East! Both locations are biblically prophetic hot spots and will play major roles in end-time, world-changing events. The Downfall of Boys: In recent years, girls have significantly outperformed boys on national exams in the United Kingdom (Herald Series, August 15, 2025). On the 2024 GCSE exam, for example, almost 25 percent of girls earned a grade 7/A or higher, versus only 19 percent of boys. As Professor Alan Smithers, director of the Centre for Education and Employment Research at the University of Buckingham, noted, “The apparent under-performance of boys at this stage of education should be a matter of national concern.”
Significantly lower performance by boys is a chronic situation and not just a one-time event. Last year, the Education Committee, comprised of members of the British parliament, launched an investigation into why boys are underperforming girls academically. In addition to commenting on problematic academic performance, their research also highlighted that boys were almost twice as likely to be suspended from school and that girls both attend and graduate from university at greater rates than boys (UK Parliament, April 19, 2025). As the Education Committee chair warned, “Evidence has consistently shown that half the children in this country do worse at school than the other. What divides them is their gender. My Committee wants to find out why it is that boys have historically underperformed compared with girls. Given the Government’s recent focus on lifelong learning, it is also concerning that growing numbers of young men are dropping out of education and becoming NEET,” that is, “Not in Education, Employment, or Training”—essentially, an unemployed young adult who is not receiving any sort of educational or vocational training at all.
In recent decades, boys have been viewed as inappropriately “privileged,” resulting in much more emphasis placed on the success of girls in education. The result is what we are witnessing today and a phenomenon that author Hanna Rosin called “The End of Men” (The Atlantic, July/August 2010). This phenomenon is not unlike one predicted by the Bible to occur at the end of the age (Isaiah 3:12).
