Greetings from Charlotte,
I’m happy to report that income for the Work continues to do well, and it looks as though June will end with an increase over last year and over budget—the sixth month in a row. The offer of the new booklet, Spiritual Warfare, is also doing well, and it looks as though we will have a response of more than 11 percent, nicely surpassing the average of 8.21 percent. Our Tomorrow’s World YouTube channel is now serving more than 800,000 subscribers, and we hope to reach the 1-million mark later this year.
The Adventure Camp in the Adirondack mountains of New York is now “in the books,” as the saying goes, having finished on Thursday. Campers and staff now have lots of exciting memories of a hiking and canoeing adventure with friends and new acquaintances. Many staff members will soon be leaving for the Texas Teen Camp to arrive on time for staff orientation, which is to begin July 5. Campers will arrive shortly thereafter, on July 7.
Please note the update below concerning our brethren in Venezuela and remember to include them in your prayers.

Update on the Venezuelan Brethren
We received an update from Armando Orrego, pastor of our congregations in South America, concerning our Venezuelan brethren. We should thank God that they are mostly unharmed by the recent earthquakes. The home of one member, however, was significantly damaged, “though it remains habitable.” Please pray for the continued safety of our members in Venezuela, “as there are concerns about possible civil unrest and looting in the aftermath of the disaster. We also ask you to pray for the people of Venezuela as they grieve the loss of loved ones and cope with the widespread destruction. May God have mercy on those still searching for family members, and may those who remain missing be found and, if it is His will, rescued alive.”

Living Youth Program
Living Youth Camp Photos – Repeat Announcement
This year, we’ll be introducing a new feature for members who’d like to view pictures of our young people at camp. An online photo album called “LYC Memories” will feature photos from all our camps. To access the album, go to the Living Youth website at https://www.livingyouth.org and click on the button beneath the “LYC Memories” header, or go directly to the photos at https://memories.livingyouth.org.
To log into the album, just use your MyLCG username and password. One of the features of the album is that it allows “tagging” of individuals in the photos—this is to make it easier to search through the photos. If you or your child will be at camp and you do not want tags to be permitted for your photos, just log into the photo album, select “My Profile” in the top right-hand corner of the page, and uncheck the names of you and/or your family members. You can also choose to be informed when a photo of you or a family member is tagged by checking the box next to “email me when a family member is tagged” in your profile area. “LYC Memories” should make it simple to view photos of our youth and staff in a safe and convenient way.
TrainRight Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Training (U.S. Only) – Repeat Announcement
All staff members who are 18 years old and up are required to participate in the TrainRight Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Training Program. It is an online training course that takes about one hour to complete. Once you have been accepted as a staff member at one of the U.S. camps, you will receive an email from [email protected] titled “Invite - Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Training Program” with a link to register for and complete the program online.
The Certification for this course is valid for two years—the year in which it is taken and the following year. For example, if you took the course in 2024, the certification was valid in 2024 and 2025. Therefore, you would need to retake the course in 2026 to receive certification for 2026 and 2027. If you have any questions, please contact Jill Ewers ([email protected]).

Don’t Ignore Bible Prophecy: In spite of the fact that nearly a third of the Bible is prophecy—much of which pertains to our time today—Bible prophecy is seldom or never addressed by mainstream “Christianity,” and the subject is largely ignored by modern media. Yet no other religious book contains a collection of more than two thousand amazingly accurate prophecies that have come and are coming true—which is one of the proofs of the divine inspiration of Scripture (Isaiah 46:8–11). Though the Bible devotes more verses to prophecy than any other subject, ministers in some Churches of God have been admonished not to talk about prophecy, because it can attract the wrong kind of people and lead some into prophecy addiction. However, God has given His Church “a more sure word of prophecy” (2 Peter 1:19, KJV) so it can fulfill its mission of warning God’s people and the world of coming events (Matthew 24) and give us hope for the future (Daniel 2:44; Isaiah 2:2–4; 11). Let’s never ignore Bible prophecy.
Have a profitable Sabbath,

News and Prophecy
The Rise of Global Conflict and the End of Pax Americana: “If you’ve been thinking it seems like there are more wars raging in the world… you’re right and the data proves it” (NPR, June 9, 2026). A recent study from the Uppsala Conflict Data Program (UCDP) revealed that 2025 saw the highest number of national conflicts since World War II. Fatalities, especially among civilians, were the highest since the Rwandan genocide of 1994. Other observers agree: “The number of armed conflicts continues to climb, reaching around 130 in 2024… more than double the number just 15 years ago” (ICRC.org, December 11, 2025). Researchers note that conflicts today are less isolated and more disruptive of economies than at any time since before World War II.
What is happening, and what are the implications? The Council on Foreign Relations notes that the current U.S. administration has worked to de-escalate conflicts in some regions, but it has exacerbated others (CFR.org, December 2025). And, while acknowledging that the overall trends facing the world “cannot be explained by any single policy decision or political leader,” UCDP researchers observed that a general “shift in the international order as led by the U.S.” was a major contributing factor over the past decade. Their report states, “Now the United States is turning against the world order it built…. The extremely high number of conflicts and wars recorded in 2025, particularly the record number of interstate conflicts lends credence to the growing number of voices arguing that we are witnessing the end of Pax Americana and the liberal world order.”
Is America’s ability to lead the international order ending? Bible prophecy describes a future in which old orders and alliances will be replaced as global instability increases. Eventually, clashing superpowers will bring utter devastation before Christ’s return. You can learn more by reading or listening to “The End of Pax Americana.”
The Impact of Happy Marriage on Health? Society today downplays the benefits of marriage as God designed it. Yet followers of Jesus Christ realize that God created marriage to bring a man and woman into a lifelong relationship where the two function together in harmony (Genesis 2:18, 24). Building a happy and successful marriage takes work, time, and intentionality. It is not easy—especially in a world whose “god,” the Devil, is bent on destroying this God-ordained institution (2 Corinthians 4:4)—but when God gives a command, He does so to bless and not to punish us.
With this in mind, it should come as no surprise that studies show happy marriages resulting in improved mental and physical health for both husbands and wives. Recent research shows that couples in happy marriages “have a lower incidence of cardiovascular disease, including heart attacks, stroke and death from heart disease, compared with those who are unmarried” (Washington Post, June 2, 2026). The happily married also have better overall mental health and even a reduced risk of cancer. Those who work to keep their marriage happy create an environment that positively impacts their moods, attitudes, habits, and even immune systems. Living according to God’s way of life results in living more abundantly and joyfully (John 10:10).
God intended a marriage between one man and one woman to be a blessing to both, and it is encouraging that when people seek to build the sort of marriage that God intended, they reap benefits. You can learn how to have an even happier marriage by listening to or reading God’s Plan for Happy Marriage. —Scott Winnail, William Williams, and Francine Prater
